Janet Jackson opened up the 2009 AMA’s with a medley of hits that made her famous. She began with ‘Control‘, then sang ‘What have you done for me lately?”; she followed that up with ‘Miss you much‘ and ‘If‘; moved on too ‘Make me’ (this is her new single) and finally she closed her performance with ‘Together again’.
She isn’t the 20 something Janet Jackson that has performed in other award shows, but she can still sing. She definitely looked like she was enjoying herself on stage! Her brother Michael, won four awards during the event. Jermaine Jackson, with one shiny glove, did the honors for the family and accepted the awards. On another note, did anyone else notice Jermaines’ two kids are named Jafar and Jermagesty? Am I the only one who thinks that is strange?
